India’s star batsman Virat Kohli has maintained his number one position in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 batsmen rankings, while off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin returned to the top five in the bowlers’ list, climbing up to fourth spot from seventh.
Meanwhile, KL Rahul has moved up as many as 67 places to be at 31st spot, riding on his unbeaten century during the two-match series against the West Indies in Lauderhill, USA.
There has been no change in the top five spots in the batting rankings with Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, Faf du Plessis and Joe Root following Kohli in the rankings.
In team rankings, India managed to retain the second spot after the second T20I in Florida was abandoned due to a wet outfield. West Indies, who are No. 3, needed to win both T20Is to leapfrog India. However, after an one-run win, there’s wasn’t much luck for Carlos Brathwaite and his men in the next game.
New Zealand continue to be the top-ranked T20I side while South Africa are placed fourth, followed by England.
