As per the confirm sources, changes are expected in some portfolios but there will be no change in Home, Finance, Defence and External Affairs, some ministers like Power Minister Piyush Goel may be in for a promotion. Changes are also expected in the organizational structure.

Principal spokesperson of the government Frank Norhona tweeted today that “The much-awaited rejig of the Cabinet will take place tomorrow at 11 am on Tuesday.” Sources in the government said the Rashtrapati Bhawan has been informed of an oath ceremony tomorrow.

Anupriya Patel, Loksabha MP from the BJP’s UP is likely to be in addition to the council of PM Narendra Modi.

Purshottam Rupala, a Rajya sabha member of the BJP from Gujarat is expected to take oath as is Arjun Ram Meghwal from Rajasthan.

As per the sources Ajay Tamta, BJP Loksabha member from Uttarakhand and Anil Desai of the BJP’s sulking ally the Shiv sena could also be made minister.

At present, there are 66 ministers at the Centre, including the Prime Minister. The Constitution allows 82. The Prime Minister has to appoint a new Sports Minister with his party's Sarbananda Sonowal moving to Assam as Chief Minister.
