HRD Minister to launch online learning courses

[:en]Online learning courses will be offered across the country to help students or any drop-out, desirous of learning, anytime of his choice, HRD Minister of State Mahendra Nath Pandey said in the Lok Sabha on 8th August, Monday.
Added to this he said, “Through this, it would be possible for any student or any school drop-out to join virtual classes offered by the best teachers in the country, interact with the teacher, take tests, earn academic credits and transfer them on their academic record.”
The minister said that the courses will cover from 9th class to post-graduation and will be carried out under the SWAYAM portal.
In the areas without internet connection, the content will be telecast on free-to-air Direct-To – Home TV channels that are going to be launched.[:]
