In Ahmedabad Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off battery-operated eco-friendly buses in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad on Thursday. He also took part in a tree plantation drive there.
He also inaugurated the country’s first automated battery charging and swapping station for e-buses in Ahmedabad.
The Home Minister attended an event organised by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation to mark high point of the urban body’s tree plantation drive, which is aimed at planting 10 lakh trees in Ahmedabad, which also marked the culmination of a 3-month-long campaign ”Mission Million Tree” in the city.
From the same venue, Shah flagged off newly-acquired electric-powered city buses.
