High profile Paromita again involved in fraud case

A matter of fraud is registered against Paromita Chakraborty well known in the high profile Maria Susairaj case registered last year in the crime branch for cheating Haj Yatris. The complainant Sachin Shah a land estate dealer gives a complaint against Paromita for fraud after showing her the Demand Draft of 10 crores in the office of advocate and now minister Rajendra Trivedi and get 32 lakhs from them.

Paromita Chakraborty resident of Mumbai and now residing in Ahmedabad as mentioned in the complaint showed Sachin Shah and his friend Sandeep Patel the DD of 10 crores in the office of advocate R.S. Trivedi to get money from them against it. The complaint mentioned that the accused Paromita Chakraborty showed cheques of different banks of 10 crores to the complainant and took 14 lakhs from Sachin Shah and another 18 lakhs from his friend Sandeep Patel from August to December 2016 last year.

“I met Paromita Chakraborty in the office of advocate R.S. Trivedi where she approached for monetary help as all her bank accounts were freezed by the police in the matter registered in the crime branch. She showed us the DD of 10 crores and we helped her for 32 lakhs. However the DD happenes to be fake and we realise that she cheated us and we registered a police complaint against her in the city police station,” said Sachin Shah land estate dealer and complainat in the matter.

The city police registered the complaint against Paromita Chakraborty under IPC 406, 420, 465, 467, 471, 120 (B) and further investigate. “The accused met the complainant Sachin Shah in the office of the advocate R.S. Trivedi and after that met many times along with her advocate. She then asked Sachin Shah to help her in emergency and as they knew each other for quite sometime Shah and his friend helped her of 32 lakhs through RTEGS and cash. When Shah asked for the money back the accused showed the DD to them and also gives a 14 lakhs cheque to Sachin which bounced later. Shah then gives a police complaint against her in the city police station for fraud,” said ACP V.P. Gamit police spokesperson.

Paromita Chakraborty is the same mastermind who was accused in cheating Haj Yatris of Vadodara and siphoned of two crores from them. Now she is once again involved in cheating a real estate dealer by showing him DD of 10 crores and that too in the office of advocate and minister Rajendra Trivedi.
