On an average, more than 1,300 Indians succumb to the dreaded disease every day. With new cancer cases or its incidence in India estimated to grow by 25% by 2020 (according to Indian Council of Medical Research), cancer has become one of the major causes of death occurring in the country. The positive aspect is that the survival rate is increasing because of awareness and advancement in technology. But, accessibility and affordability play crucial role in continuation of cancer treatment.
In order to help the patients “Dusshera Garba 2019 ” has been organized to ensure that no one must be denied quality cancer care because of the finances. The cause is being supported by, OPAL, BITA , Radiocity and Shreeji Infrastructure.
Cancer is cureable, if detected at early stage and treated properly on time. People from all across the country visit us to avail the best cancer treatment. However many cancer patients in India are unable to afford the treatment costs and therefore do not survive the disease. Therefore, ”Charity Garba” has been organized to ensure that financial crisis cannot be an obstacle of getting treatment.
Adding to this Atul Purohit said ”I am privileged to be a part of this one day Navratri event “Charity Garba” organized by the HCG foundation. I support this noble cause wholeheartedly. Your pass purchase will be a small contribution towards this big cause this navratri. Let us all dance for a cause. My best wishes to HCG in their endeavor to ensure that no child with cancer is turned away because of financial challenges”
On this special event for the noble cause Dr Rajiv Bhatt -Director HCG Cancer Centre Vadodara said, ’It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the third edition of our annual fund-raising Garba event. The first edition in 2017 resonated to the voice of ShriAtulPurohit and set the benchmark for an event that combined music, garba and traditionalism with a meaningful social cause. It was an instant hit and a reasonable fund was created for the foundation. The second edition last year gained much popularity and was a big success with Gautam Dabir and his troupe providing a lively mix of traditional and modern garbas raising the bar further. Once again with the munificent support of Vadodara citizens and corporates a good corpus was created for the HCG foundation.
