An informative and interactive educational session on Oncology
On the special occasion of World Cancer Day, HCG Cancer Center host OncoVad 2019 provides an open platform to doctors, clinicians and industry representatives. The main objective is to discuss and present the overview of current Oncology practice and standards.The program comprises keynote lectures and panel discussions.
More than 800 doctors and clinicians participated in this informative and interactive educational session. Eminent representatives Padma Bhushan Dr Suresh Advani, Medical Oncologist Dr Rajendra Mistry- Director of Surgical Oncology in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital Medical and Research, Dr BS Ajaikumar – Chairmain of HCG Group, Dr Shripad Banavali – Director of Medical and Pediatric Oncology of Tata Memorial Centre, Dr Hilda Stambuk – Head and Neck Radiologist of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre(New York) attend the seminar with ace industry experts.
The conference is organized by Indian Medical Association Vadodara (IMA) supported by HCG Cancer Centre, in association with Surgeon Association Vadodara, Physician Association Vadodara, Family Physician Association Vadodara, Baroda Radiological and Imaging Association & Radiology Department of Medical College Baroda. OncoVad 2019 is also accredited by Indian Society of Oncology (ISO) and Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO).
HCG Cancer Centre Vadodara also launches a clinic on Genetic Predisposition which will help in identifying the syndrome that increases a person’s risk for any form of cancer. Dr BS Ajaikumar – Chairman of HCG Group inaugurates the centre. He said, “ We are excited to launch this clinic. This Hereditary Cancer Clinic is more focus on advanced treatment of cancer care.Through wider screening, we can address people’s needs”.
