For the first time in the history of Gujarat the holy Bible is translated into Gujarati and for this the first 450 pages were handwritten on Sunday at Web Memorial School Vadodara. The second series will be written in coming days and the whole handwritten Gujarati Bible will be published on 26th March 2017.

Organise by Methodist Church Vadodara district about 400 community members of all age group gathered at the Web Memorial School and start writing the Bible Verses in Gujarati. This is for the first time that the people write Bible Verses in Gujarati and that too handwritten. On Sunday the old testament was handwritten and on 5th the new testament will be hand writing by the community members.

“The main aim is to promote the Bible and specially among the youth who are slowly away from the teachings of the holy Bible. We promote the Bible in handwritten Gujarati and will publish it on 26th March 2017. In total there are 1150 pages and we will kept it in one place where the people specially the youth can read and implement it in their lives,” said Rev Samuel Suwartik District Superintendent Methodist Church Vadodara.
