Every monsoon the societies near Kashivishwanath temple lake in Vadodara witness heavy waterlogging and crocodile problem. After repeated representations finally the administration is planning a temporary solution to divert the water towards Vishwamitri river through a drain passing from under Lalbaug bridge.

On Tuesday Mayor Keyur Rokadia, standing Committee chairman Dr. Hitendra Patel, Commisioner Shalini Agarwal, Ward no. 13 councillors and other officials visited the area and took stock of the ongoing work. Thru give necessary instructions to ensure the quick diversion of flood water from the area.

"For years the area is witnessing the problem of waterlogging as well as crocodile menance during monsoon. This year we plan to implement a temporary solution where the water will be diverted towards Vishwamitri river through the drain passing from under Lalbaug bridge adjacent to palace ground. Before a permanent solution this is our effort to atleast ensure the quick release of water from the area which gives some respite to the citizens, " said Mayor Keyur Rokadia.

VMSS commisoner Shalini Agarwal said, the administration is already working on a permanent solution in the area and work is already carried out by the teams. They will ensure quick resolution of such problems wherever prevail in the city.
