Vadodara Special Investigation Team present 1860 pages chrargesheet in illegal funding case against AFMI Charitable Trust Managing Trustee Salaudin Sheikh and his associates for getting money from FCRA and Hawala Fund and involved in funding illegal activities like religion change, releasing people arrested in communal riots, CAA protestors.

THE VADODARA Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Tuesday filed the charge sheet on alleged case of misuse of foreign funds by the Vadodara-based AFMI charitable trust as well as the hawala funds, amounting to a total of Rs 80 crore, used for alleged illegal activities.

The chargesheet states that apart from the three accused arrested in the case, two more accused, currently abroad, are yet to be arrested. London based Abdullah Fefdawala, a native of Nabipur tn Bharuch, and Dubai-based Mustafa Saifuddin Thanawala, a native of Mumbai, are wanted accused in the case.

The release states that as per the business deal between IH Kasuwala pedhi and AFMI charitable trust, a total of bogus and fake bills of 1,65,29,687 were created and fake entries of 94,65,461 were made in the book of the trust. And these fake accounting records were presented in the government office.

Apart from this, 60,00,00,000 were sent to Gujarat and other states for conversion and other illegal activities against the activities of the trust. Salauddin Shaikh and Mohammad Umar Gautam and other assistants held a secret meeting in Vadodara in 2020 with the intention to encourage the communal riots and protests in Delhi and illegal tendencies including conversions, and to strengthen Islam. And 65,00,000 met through hawala from dubai at the behest of co-accused Abdullah Fadwala were sent through PM Angadia to release the people caught in CAA/NRC protests and communal riots in Delhi.

Apart from this, accused Mohammad Mansoori, who worked as a supervisor in Muslim Medical Center under AFMI Charitable Trust, destroyed documents and pendrive. He was also arrested by the police.
