Police have arrested Vadodara city's notorious bootlegger under PASA and sent him to the state's Bhuj jail. Five months ago, police raided the bootlegger's home and seized 300 cartons of foreign liquor.
As per details, on the instructions of the Commissioner of Police, Police Inspector KP Parmar of Panigate Police Station on June 20 seized different brands of IMFL from a cement mixer truck, a car and house inside Vaikunth society on Waghodia road. Two accused were also arrested by the team.
Police found cash, mobile phone in their possession and seized a total of Rs 34,71,200 items from the spot.
Among the accused in the crime, PASA proposal papers of Vikramsinh Natwarsinh Chavda (Resides in 102, Gajanand Flat, Vaikunth Society, Waghodia Road, Vadodara) was prepared and sent to the Commissioner of Police. To curb illegal activities Police Commissioner Dr. Shamsher Singh had issued a warrant against Vikram Chawda, a notorious bootlegger and sent him to Bhuj Jail.
