After the Navratri celebration, preparations have been started by the citizens of Vadodara to celebrate Diwali and New Year. However the old people who are spending their days in the old age home for various reasons are somehow miss this happiness.

With an intention to spread joy and happiness and make them feel like family, Vadodara city Police along with the Warasia She team celebrate the festival in Warasia old age home on Thursday night. At the same time high-ranking police officer sung hymns and songs which brought tears in the eyes of the elderly living there.

With the human initiative and suggestion of city Police commissioner Dr. Shamsher Singh, SHE Team organized a celebration of Diwali at Premdas Old Age Home in Warasia area. Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-4 Lakhdirsinh Zala, Assistant Commissioner of Police "G" Division P.R. Rathod as well as P.I. of Warsia police station, KN Lathiya also joined and celebrated Diwali with the elders.

Assistant Commissioner of Police "G" Division P.R. Rathore enchanted the elders by singing hymns and songs with his melodious voice. Senior citizens get emotional to hear the police officer's catchy hymns and songs and joined him. The elderly said, today they felt like visited a Bhajan Sandhya after years and remind them about their past.

Police officers went to the old age home and distributed sweets and food kits and celebrate Diwali with firecrackers. After hearing the representations of elders of the old age home, senior police officials and the She team assured them that they will always be with them. Everyone appreciated the humane approach of the police and thanked them.
