To celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas 2021 the NCC cadets from Vadodara Group as part of "Kargil ke Veeron ko Gujarat ka aabhar" have prepared some excellent cards to express their gratitude towards our soldiers. These cards will be sent by courier to reach the soldiers in Ladakh Sector by 26 Jul 21.

Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 26 July every year in honour of the Kargil War Heroes who sacrificed their lives in the name of country. This day is celebrated in the Kargil–sector and also in national capital where the Prime Minister of India pays homage to the soldiers at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate every year. Functions are also organized all over the country to commemorate the contributions of the armed forces.

To honour thr soldiers the Vadodara group NCC cadets prepared some beautiful handmade cards as a gratitude towards them. Cadets which includes school students send their messages in form of cards to the soldiers performing their duties at the border.

"The cards prepared by our cadets are to express their gratitude towards the soldiers. Around 2100 cards were prepared by cadets of 03 Gujarat NCC battalion carries the heart warming messages for the soldiers. The cards from NCC units from Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot will collectively reached the Northern Command Army headquarters at Udhampur after the team carries them will be flagged by the Gujarat CM. Further from there they will send to the Ladakh, Kargil and other posts. We have also selected best five cards which will be felicitated by the directorate. It's surprising to see the school students prepared quality cards using the basic resources, " Said S. Pawan Kumar CO 3 Gujarat Battalion NCC Vadodara.
