Vadodara Mayor Keyur Rokadia wrote a letter to the government and Narmada Development Minister Yogesh Patel to provide Narmada water to Ajwa Sarovar free of cost. The sarovar is one of the prime source of water to provide water to Eastern and Southern part of the city. Presently due to scarcity of rain the level at the sarovar is 206.20 which is a matter of concern for the corporation.

Amid fight with COVID-19 pandemic, Cyclone Tauktae devastation now comes a deep deficit in rainfall which raised the concern of the farmers, government. Although meteorological department is hopeful for rains but the reservoir levels are slowly goes down and people are staring at possible water problem.

In Vadodara Mahisagar, Ajwa are one of the major sources of water supply in the city and due to low rainfall the corporation is seems to be worried now. Talking about Ajwa its level is down to 206.20 and will go further low in case of no rainfall. In such a situation Vadodara Mayor Keyur Rokadia wrote a letter to the government and Narmada Development Minister Yogesh Patel to provide Narmada water through canals free of cost to Ajwa.

In view of the water usage in the city, the corporation is worried about the low water level in Ajwa lake and hence wrote a letter to the government for helping them to manage the situation.
