Vadodara Mayor and other officials started Atal Swachata Abhiyan in Vadodara from Monday

As part of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, "Atal Swachhta Abhiyan" has been launched in the presence of Mayor Keyur Rokadia, commissioner Shalini Agarwal and officials starting from Monday. The campaign is planned from 6 to 25th December in Vadodara city.

This cleanliness Campaign has been launched by Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan with an aim to make Vadodara city more clean. On December 6 Monday, the campaign has been started on the death anniversary of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar and will continue till 25th December, birth anniversary of Atal Behari Vajpayee. The peculiarity of this campaign is that each ward out of all the 19 election wards of Vadodara Municipal Corporation will be allotted a whole day's time. In which all the machines, employees and officers of Vadodara Municipal Corporation will carry out intensive cleaning campaign of the ward in a single day.

During the campaign, special clean-up operations will be carried out at places including schools, gardens, vegetable markets, places of worship. It may be mentioned here that in order to make this campaign more successful, a social link has been generated on which the citizens can upload information along with photos to remove the garbage from their area.

On Monday Mayor Keyur Rokadia, commissioner Shalini Agarwal, standing committee chairman Dr. Hitendra Patel and other officials himself took the brooms in their hands and symbolically started the campaign by removing the garbage in Mandvi area of the city. They all took pledge to make the city clean and spread awareness in people.
