Vadodara District Collector visited Ajwa Sarovar and its 62 gates
Getting detailed information about water release warning system
Vadodara District Collector RB Barad visited Ajwa lake and it's 62 gates on Tuesday and got detailed information regarding monsoon and flood control. During monsoon as the lake overflowed the gates were open and water released in the river Vishwamitri flowing from inside the city.
During the visit, the engineering officers of Vadodara Municipal Corporation gave detailed information about the water storage capacity of the reservoir, maximum surface, release of water through 62 gates, warning system to the villages and low lying areas of Vadodara city, instructions of the state government to fill monsoon water in the lake. They also gave insights with the help of maps. The visit was made pertaining to monsoon and disaster management.
