Vadodara Congress councillor threatening language to woman safai sevak caused uproar
Councillor later apolgised and matter ends
Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan organized a hygiene campaign program in Chhani area on Thursday where the safai sevaks took oath of cleanliness. However local Congress councilor Harish Patel told the woman cleanliness worker to do cleaning properly, otherwise he will stop the benefits they get. Which escalated the matter. However, the councilor later apologized which controlled the situation before it went out of hands.
Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan today organized a hygiene campaign program in Chhani area included in Election Ward No. 1. The event was attended by Councilor of Ward No. 1 and Leader of Opposition Ami Rawat, Chhani residents and Councilors including Councilor Harish Patel, Jaha Desai as well as safai sevaks and ward officials. Oaths of cleanliness were taken by the sevaks in presence of councilors and officials.
Harish Patel, a Congress councilor and a resident of Chhani village, threaten the woman safai sevak to clean properly or else will stop the government benefits they get. It escalated the matter and there was a uproar in the safai sevaks.
As the situation escalated, Councilor Harish Patel returned to the spot along with Opposition leader and ward councilor Ami Ravat and she control the situation. Meanwhile, Councilor Harish Patel apologized to the safai sevaks and the matter came to an end.
