Vadodara ACB caught Deputy Mamlatdar of Karjan and intermediary came to collect bribe on his behalf

Vadodara Anti Corruption Bureau caught Deputy Mamlatdar of Karjan J.D. Parmar and the intermediary who went to collect the bribe amount on behalf of Parmar and Rs 5,000. The deputy mamlatdar had demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the owner of the vehicle used in the assembly by-election.

As per available details, by election of Karjan Shinor Assembly was held recently. Chetanbhai Rabari, a resident of Manpur village in Karjan taluka, rented his car in this election and moved like an election chariot.

The car's bills were also credited to the car owner's back account after it was approved. However, Deputy Mamlatdar of Karjan J.D. Parmar called the car owner and demanded Rs 20,000 in commission and threatened to send police.

The car owner did not want to pay Rs 20,000 and later agreed to give Rs. 5,000. However, he don't want to pay this amount too and registered a complaint with the ACB. He also provide the audio conversation to the investigating team.

Based on the complaint the ACB set a trap at the Mamlatdar's office on Tuesday and caught the intermediary Hasmukh Parmar sent by Deputy Mamlatdar to collect 5000 rupees from Chetan Rabari. They also caught the Deputy Mamlatdar and start investigating.
