Akhil Bhhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad Vadodara on Tuesday protest against the police action in Navratri Mahotsav in Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in Surat on the night of 11 October. They gives a memorandum to the collector demanding strict action against the responsible. They also give 24 hours ultimatum for action or else threaten to reach Surat on Wednesday in big numbers to surround the police commissioner.
As per details ABVP has organised the Navratri mahotsav in VNSGU with permission and following Covid protocols as prescribed by the government. On 11 October police reached the campus and tries to give some guidelines which lead to heated argument between them. The students put allegations on police for beating them and also used foul language.
Taking a strong stand the ABVP members from Vadodara gives a memorandum to the district collector of Tuesday condemn the incident and demand strict action against the responsible. They also recite Ramdhun near the collector office as part of their protest.
The members said, police has no right to enter inside the university without permission. An atmosphere of fear has been created and this is insult to the discipline of a reputed educational institution like a university and to the Chancellor. They gives a day ultimatum for action against the responsible or else threaten to reach Surat in big numbers on Wednesday to surround the city Police Commissioner.
