Temperature touches 41°C in Ahmedabad, likely to remain high

The maximum temperature on Monday reached 41°C, 2.2 degrees higher than normal.

The minimum temperature at 25.6°C was also 2.6 degrees higher than normal, heralding peak summer temperatures.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the maximum temperature will likely be around 41°C in the city on Tuesday, too. "Gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2-3 degrees during next three days. 

After that, no large change during subsequent two days," mentioned the forecast.

Ahmedabad and Surendranagar were the hottest spots in Gujarat, followed by Gandhinagar (40.5°C), Amreli (40.4°C), and Vadodara (40.2°C).
