According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the maximum temperature will likely be around 41°C in the city on Tuesday, too. "Gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2-3 degrees during next three days. 

After that, no large change during subsequent two days," mentioned the forecast.

Ahmedabad and Surendranagar were the hottest spots in Gujarat, followed by Gandhinagar (40.5°C), Amreli (40.4°C), and Vadodara (40.2°C).
