Tarsali Vegetable Market Association gives an application to Vadodara Municipal Commissioner with a demand to make the new market after meeting with all the traders of Tarsali Vegetable Market. They demand facilities like other markets and need everything in written or else threaten to commit suicide.
Traders of Tarsali Vegetable Market said that space has been provided for Tarsali Vegetable Market, but the administration kept them in dark about the decision to shift it to new place. They reached the corporation office on Wednesday with banners and gives an application to the municipal commissioner in view of the demands.
"About 170 laaries have been registered under the Tarsali Vegetable Market Traders Association including the fruit ones. The existing Tarsali vegetable market is to be relocated by the corporation and we demand to provide all kinds of facilities at that place. In addition the Street Vendor Policy 2014 is to be implemented and we need all things in written," said one of the trader Bharat Rohit.
Another trader Imran Vohra said, they need facilities at the new place and we demand no one become unemployed. We will agitate in case our demands are not met by the officials.
