A gang of robbers strikes inside the house of a land broker living in Sonali Society on the VIP road of Vadodara city and stabbed and injured an old woman worshiping in the ground floor room. They took her hostage and robbed of cash, gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 2.63 lakh. However police caught the accused in matter of hours after the incident reported to them.

Two months ago, a young woman, who was engaged in housework at the land broker's house, tipped her family members and she along with three carried out the robbery in a planned manner. However, one of the accused was caught and with the help of CCTV footage and other details the police managed to caught them including the girls within in hours of the crime.

Jaideep Pravin Gore a land dealer lives with mother, wife and children in 2, Sonali Society, opposite Bansal Mall on the VIP road of Karelibaug. road. On the following night he slept with his family on the first floor of house, while his mother Ranjan Gore slept in the ground floor room of the house. As per the routine, Ranjan Gore was performing pooja in her room around 5-30 in the morning and at that moment, three robbers broke open the back door and entered inside the house. They injured the senior citizen as soon as they entered the house and took her hostage. They then robbed her of cash, gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 2,63,500 and fled from the spot.

Her son sleeping on the first floor rushed to the spot after Ranjan Gore shouted for help. The people of the society also came rushing to her for help. Meanwhile one of the accused was caught by Girish Kumar Vankar, a security guard at nearby Bansal Mall. Meanwhile people informed the police and they took custody of the caught accused and after interrogation exposed the robbery.

Informing about this sensational incident, D.C.P. Zone 4 Lakhdhirsinh Zala said that during interrogation of Ashok Rawal, who was caught fleeing after looting they came to know about the whole incident. He said that Dimple Vasantbhai Soni was working as maid in the victim house and gave the tip to her associates Arjun Kharwa and Ritesh Godadiya and they planned the robbery.

As they fled from the spot one Ashok Rawal was caught by the security guard of nearby Bansal Mall and during interrogation by the police he revealed the names of the other accused. DCP further said that based on technical surveillance and human intelligence they managed to caught Dimple Soni and Arjun Kharwa. However Riteish alias Hitesh Godadia was not found and police declared him wanted. Police also recovered cash and stolen jewellery from the accused's house and also seized a knife used in the robbery. All three are arrested after the Covid 19 test.

DCP Zala also praised the bravery of the security guard and said he will be felicitated by the department.
