Rotary Club of Baroda Cosmopolitan donates blood donation van to Sayaji Hospital Blood Bank

The Rotary Club of Baroda Cosmopolitan donates a blood donation van to Sayaji Hospital Blood Bank, equipped with state-of-the-art and blood-saving facilities worth more than 29 lakhs. The facilities including air conditioning, blood donation and storage of received blood in cold environment and facilitates immediate blood donation camp at any place.

Rotary officials including Prashant Jani and Prakash Masand handed over the van to Dr. Ranjan Krishna Aiyar, Medical Superintendent Sayaji Hospital and an active member of Rotary Club for use in Sayaji Hospital Blood Bank.

On this occasion, the Rotary Officer said, "This is the best humanitarian work of our tenure. Our desire to do something concrete for the community has come true with this charity."

Expressing his happiness the Medical Superintendent said, "With its help, the activities of Sayaji Hospital Blood Bank will be expedited and we will be able to expand blood donation activities to remote villages."

The van is equipped with a generator so that the AC and freezer can be kept on even when there is no power supply, he said. Further adding he states the freezer has the facility to store 100 pouches of donated blood in a cold environment. There are modern conveniences like charging plugs. This blood donation vehicle will increase the activity and enrichment in the operation of the blood bank.
