A promising student was killed in a truck accident on Ajwa Road early morning on Saturday in Vadodara. Locals blamed the municipality for the death of the boy who went for cycling as per routine early in the morning. The family members rushed to the spot on learning of the incident and their cries spread a pall of gloom in the area.

As per available details, Maharsh Darshanbhai Suthar (12), resident of B-4, Gokul Tenement, Shri Harinagar Township on Ajwa Road, had gone out early in the morning for cycling with his friends. Meanwhile, he was knocked by a passing truck near Ajwa Road Sardar Estate and died on the spot.

The locals rushed to the spot and informed the family members about the incident. They rushed to the spot and shocked to see the body of the boy. Their cries spread a pall of gloom in the area. On the other hand, Bapod police rushed to spot after the information and send the body to Sayaji Hospital for postmortem.

A local Vipul Darji said that a student named Maharsh, who had gone for cycling and after knocked down by a truck at a short distance from Ajwa Road Ektanagar. The truck was carrying blocks used in the construction site. Police have seized the truck and initiated proceedings against the truck driver.

Another local said, work were carried out by the corporation to lay the line over the road and after completion the road is still not constructed. As a result, the place is full with rubbish. The road has become narrow due to lack of road and piles of rubbish on one side and there is no enough space for vehicles to pass. They blame the corporation as well as truck for the death of the boy. Bapod police have registered a case of accident and initiated further action regarding the incident.
