Like every year Prince Ashokaraje Gaekwad school in Vadodara celebrated the Jagannath Rathyatra inside the premises. With covid situation around 1500 students of the school and their parents celebrated Jagganath ji Rath Yatra virtually due to the Covid -19 pandemic restrictions.

This Rathyatra is famous as the chariot is pulled by kids of the school. However due to covid situation schools remain closed and students can't come to the school. So this year the chariot was pulled by the school teachers with great enthusiasm.

This year 1500 students of Prince Ashokraje Gaekwad School and their parents joined virtually as teachers and school staff were involved in organizing the Lord Jagganath Rath Yatra.

During this occasion , the idols of the Lord and his siblings were brought out and placed in the rath. The Rath Yatra was dedicated to Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Lord Balabhadra and his sister Goddess Subhadra. The Rath started moving from the temple and was hauled to the school main building campus by the teachers of the school.

In view of a surge in the COVID-19 infecdtions , Lord Jagannathji Temple was shut for devotees.
