The operation, initiated during Traffic Week, aims to ensure strict compliance with traffic regulations, including speed limits, helmet usage, and seat belt enforcement.

A speed limit of 40 km/h has been imposed on this stretch, and speedometers have been deployed to monitor vehicle speeds.

As part of the drive, speeding motorists were flagged down, fined, and issued e-memos on the spot.

The checks covered all types of vehicles, including ST buses, to ensure widespread compliance.

Traffic police officers stationed along the road were informed of speed violations in real time by monitoring teams.

Apart from penalizing overspeeding, the police also took strict action against violations of other traffic rules.

This includes the mandatory use of helmets for two-wheeler riders and seat belts for car occupants.

The campaign underscores the district administration's commitment to road safety and aims to bring down the number of accidents on this crucial roadway.
