On Sunday, the south-west monsoon officially covered half of Gujarat including entire south Gujarat and parts of eastern belt of the state along with some parts of Saurashtra.
On the first day itself, the state received good rainfall with 29 talukas recording more than 10mm of rainfall.
The city experienced cloudy weather for almost the entire day and the eastern parts received rain. Till 6pm, the city had received 1mm of rainfall.
The city may receive light to moderate showers on Monday, mentioned IMD forecast.
Due to cloudy weather, the maximum temperature remained low at 35.2C, which was 1.6C below normal.
The minimum temperature at 26.7C was 0.4C below normal.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, parts of north Gujarat, Saurashtra and south Gujarat are expected to get heavy rainfall in next four days.
Next week, the remaining areas are also likely to be covered by monsoon, mentioned Met department officials.
Before the onset, the state was overall at 84% of its rainfall till June 25.
