According to the forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) - Gujarat, hotter days are expected to continue in Ahmedabad and other parts of Gujarat with maximum temperatures remaining above 40 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature in Ahmedabad settled at 40.8°C on Tuesday, remaining one degree above normal and marginally declining from Monday's 41.9oC.
On the other hand, the city's minimum temperature stood at 25.2°C, which also remained 1.2 degrees above normal.
Overall, the city's weather has remained dry over a 24-hour period. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature is expected to climb to 41 degree celsius.
According to Met department officials, no major change in temperature is expected in the region over the next five days.
Rajkot remained the hottest city in Gujarat with temperatures touching 41.3 degree celsius followed by Amreli at 41.2oC, and Bhuj and Gandhinagar at 41 oC.
