With a new look the renovated Maharashtra Vyayamshala owned by Maharashtra Krida Mandal is ready to welcome sportspersons playing sports like Kabaddi, Khokho, Kushti, Malkhambh, Long and High Jump, Shot Put and others. The facility is ready with the MP grant and inaugurated by MP Ranjan Bhatt and Revenue Minister Rajendra Trivedi.
Maharashtra Krida Mandal, is 116 years and known for creating sportspersons to excel in local sports like Kabaddi, Khilji, Malkhambh, Kushti and others. With a nominal cost the sportspersons from Vadodara get training inside the Vyayam Shala for years. However the limited space somehow prevent the training. Now the new renovated Maharashtra Gymnasium at a cost of Rs 17 lakh from a grant from Vadodara city MP Ranjanben Bhatt will facilitate more youths and girls who want to make their names in national and international arena.
On Sunday MP Ranjan Bhatt and Revenue Minister Rajendra Trivedi inagurated the newly constructed Maharashtra Gymnasium along with BJP state general secretary Bhargav Bhatt, Vadodara city mayor Keyur Rokadia, deputy mayor Nanda Joshi, former opposition leader Chandrakant Srivastava, local councillors and Maharashtra Krida Mandal officials.
"We know the importance of sports and health benefits during the corona period and this Vyayamshala is doing the same for decades and now get renovated with the MP grant. The country whose gymnasium will be strong, people will come, exercise and play sports, their physical fitness will increase and the country will become strong. The Akhadas may be old but the body built in it remains forever. I also used to come to this gym in my childhood and am glad that today its renovation took place," said Trivedi.
Vaibhav Mohite Secretary of Maharastra Krida Mandal said, with this they now will start a gym and bring equipments for thigh, shoulder, back, cycling and others. People can get the benefit of a gym along with other sports training at nominal rates here.
