The third phase of the Lok Sabha elections will witness 95 constituencies across the country going to the polls. 

This figure includes the Betul constituency in Madhya Pradesh, where the voting process, initially planned for April 26, was adjourned due to death of BSP candidate.

The third phase of the elections will witness 12 states and union territories participating in the democratic process. 

A total of 2963 nominations were filed across these regions. Election officials accepted 1563 of these applications as valid.

After the withdrawal of nominations, the final number of candidates contesting the elections stands at 1351.

This figure excludes the sole BJP candidate in Surat, who was elected unopposed.
