After constructing a serpentine flyover near the Gujarat College, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will construct, another, oddly shaped flyover over Panchvati Crossroads. This time, it is an L-shaped flyover.

The structure is expected to be 900 metres long and it will begin from Radisson Blu hotel in the Law Garden area towards Gita Rambhiya Circle via Panchvati Crossroads. The flyover will end right in front of CN Vidyalaya gates.

The AMC's 2023-24 budget had earmarked a provision for the project and a feasibility report was to be prepared for flyover over just one junction at Panchvati.

But now with the change of plans, the flyover has now been extended up to CN Vidyalaya.

Earlier, this flyover was slated to start from Radiation Blu Hotel and land in front of the Central Mall.

But this plan was revised and the flyover was pushed towards Gita Rambhiya Circle and then land at CN Vidyalaya gates.

Only 15 of these CRRI-proposed flyovers have been built so far.

In this study, it was suggested that a four-lane flyover be built leading from Law Garden towards Ambawadi. Apart from the Panchvati Crossroads, the AMC prepared similar plans for flyovers on Mansi Junction, Visat-Chandkheda Junction and Panjrapol Junction.
