Kheda: Bus caught fire at Ahmedabad-Indore highway toll plaza near Kathlal

In Kheda district, two incidents of vehicles catching fire were reported on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

A truck on the Ahmedabad-Indore highway near Kathlal and a mini-bus on the Vadodara-Ahmedabad Expressway near Nadiad were involved in the two incidents.

On Saturday night, a truck on the Ahmedabad-Indore highway caught fire at the toll plaza near Kathlal.

The driver sustained minor injuries. The fire caused chaos on the road. 

The Nadiad fire department team and Kathlal police responded quickly, and the fire was extinguished, although the truck’s cargo was destroyed.

The following day, a mini-bus from Surat to Ahmedabad caught fire on the highway near Nadiad.

The driver’s swift response in evacuating the 15 passengers prevented any injury. 

The Nadiad fire brigade team responded to the incident, dousing the flames with water.

The mini-bus was en route to an event in Ahmedabad when smoke was detected. 

The driver safely parked the vehicle and evacuated the passengers.

The vehicle was completely burnt, and a short-circuit is suspected as the cause.
