Jet patcher machine to make Vadodara city roads pit free

To make the city pit free, Vadodara Municipal Corporation is preparing to start patch work with a state-of-the-art jet patcher machine and it's demonstration was done at Racecourse Natubhai Circle on Wednesday. The demonstration was held in the presence of the Mayor and the Chairman of the Standing Committee. After watching the demonstration, the mayor and the standing chairman said that plans would be made to include the machine and free Vadodara from pits as soon as possible.

Roads are getting damaged from time to time due to poor quality materials used by the contractors of Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan. Especially during monsoons, the city is turning into pits everywhere and people find it difficult to move on such bad roads. Specially at night, the condition of motorists becomes dire.

In this situation, Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan has carried out an exercise to repair the washed roads of the city. The corporation plans to put a patching machine to fill the pits in the city. Jet Patchers machines will be operational in the next ten days in all four zones of Vadodara city. A demonstration of the jet patcher machine was held in the presence of Mayor Keyur Rokadia and Chairman of the Standing Committee Dr. Hitendra Patel.

Mayor Keyur Rokadia said, Every year a new network is laid by the gas agency, power agency and cable network. Storm water lines, water and sewer lines are laid and upgraded by the corporation. So for that the road was dug and as a result it damaged due to heavy and continuous rains. The corporation has started filling such pits.

Standing Committee Chairman Dr. Hitendra Patel said that a Jet patcher machine is being considered for pits free Vadodara. Seeing the demonstration today, this machine seems to be suitable for removing pits as it will complete the pit on the road in just fifteen minutes and get smooth. A decision will be taken in the coming days to conduct the tender process and Vadodara will be pit free soon.
