The Ahmedabad city DEO has issued a notice to revoke the recognition of Gyanoday School, which was relocated from Jamalpur to Vastral.
The school got department nod to relocate for two years due to the dilapidated condition of the building in Jamalpur.
However, the school did not initiate the process to transfer back to its original location, even after four years.
Additionally, the school started Class 11 and admitted students without approval.
The school has been summoned for a hearing on Oct 10. If they fail to present evidence, measures will be taken to close unauthorised classes, and a proposal will be made to the board to revoke the school's recognition.
The school, originally situated in Jamalpur, was relocated to Vastral for two years under the condition that it would return to its original location by the academic year 2020.
Currently, the school is operating unauthorised in Mahadev Nagar, Vastral, and lacks the required fire NOC and BU permission.
