Vadodara District SOG PI Ajay Desai's wife Sweety has mysteriously gone missing and the district police has formed separate teams and started a close search. On the other hand proceedings including conducting polygraph test of PI Ajay Desai have been carried out.
It is to be noted that Vadodara District SOG PI Ajay Desai and his wife Sweety lives in Karjan. On June 6 she left home without informing anyone. A search was launched for her and whereabouts after failed to trace her near the house and area.
Five days after the incident, on June 11, Sweety's brother Jaideep Patel (resides in Anand) reported the missing complaint at the Karjan police station in the afternoon. Karjan police had lodged a jog note at 3.50 pm on the basis of Jaideep Patel's complaint.
Karjan police have not been able to find Sweety for 24 days. The system was set in motion as soon as the incident was reported and orders for further investigation into the matter were issued from higher level.
Police on Monday conducted a polygraph test of SOG PI Ajay Desai and expedited further action. District police chief Sudhir Desai said, Ajay Desai's wife went missing on June 5 in Karjan and her brother then gives a complaint at the police station.
CCTV have been investigated and relatives are questioned by the investigating teams. With this, the proposal to solve the unresolved corpses in Gujarat was intensified. All technical and surveillance matters are currently being scrutinized. Attempts are being made in the surrounding area, including Karjan, to conduct a physical investigation and track down Sweety on social media.
In addition, district police chief Sudhir Desai added that the FSL was being enlisted to verify the veracity of Ajay Desai's statement in the case. Ajay Desai has been taken to Ahmedabad for SDS test. At the present stage, further investigation into the incident has been initiated by various teams of LCB, SOG, Parole Furlough Squad, Karjan Police and D staff of Dabhoi Division. Currently, Ajay Desai has been placed on leave reserve. DYSP Kalpesh Sonalki has been assigned to further investigate in the case.
