Indian Coast Guard recovers narcotics substance from Kutch coast of Gujarat

Indian Coast Guard Hovercraft, during routine patrol recovered 19 packets of suspicious narcotics substance weighing about 21.4 Kgs in unclaimed condition from the shallow water area of Kutch coast near Jakhau.

The initial testing of substance indicative of Hashish/ Marijuana worth 32 lakhs in international market. Indian Coast Guard in consultation with other security and intelligence agencies has stepped surveillance efforts in area to rule out possibility of any such consignment hidden or washed ashore in area.

Recovered packets are being handed over to Marine Police.
