In a swift operation coordinated by Indian Coast Guard Station Veraval on 12 December 2021, Coast Guard ship (C-143) undertook evacuation of the master of IFB Badrika who had suffered a snake bite while retrieving the fishing nets at sea 54 NM south west off Veraval. C-413 was diverted from operational deployment for above mentioned causality evacuation and proceeded back after handing over the patient to marine police boat

The patient along with 01 attendant was embarked onboard Coast Guard ship and initial medical aid was provided to patient. The patient was brought to Veraval for further medical management and post stabilization shifted to Govt Hospital Veraval by service ambulance for further treatment. The patient is reported to be stable.
