The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate & Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC and ACPPGMEC) on Thursday announced the schedule for admissions to postgraduate medical courses for state quota seats.
The registrations of students who have cleared the Postgraduate National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (PG NEET) started on September 15 and will end at 6pm on September 21.
According to the rules, 15% of all UG medical seats and 50% of seats in PG courses in the state are reserved for all-India quota students.
The remaining seats are state quota seats which are further divided into government, management and NRI quota seats.
Students will be required to visit help centres between September 16 and September 22 to verify their applications and their documents.
There are 17 help centres at various medical colleges in the state. Students will have to pay Rs 25,000 as the processing fees through demand drafts.
Earlier, the Union ministry of health and family welfare had announced that the registrations for admissions to PG medical courses will begin from September 1 but had later deferred the date for registrations.
According to sources, 74 seats have been added this year including 59 seats in AMC's MET Medical College, now renamed Narendra Modi Medical College. There are 2,179 PG medical seats in the state.
