Automobile dealers in Gujarat have a reason to celebrate as the festive season saw a high number of vehicle deliveries.
During the 10 days of the Navratri-Dussehra festivals, over 85,000 twowheelers and 19,000 cars were delivered, according to data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers’ Association (FADA), Gujarat.
However, this Dussehra marked a change in the norm as spot bookings and deliveries of vehicles were no longer feasible due to a shift in vehicle registration regulations.
Car dealers also saw roughly 30% higher demand compared to last year.
The city saw around 16,600 vehicle deliveries in a single day on Tuesday.
