Gujarat: CCTV captured 'suicide in custody'

The suicide by the man accused of murdering and beheading a woman was recorded on the CCTV of the Devgadh Baria police station.

Jayanti Rathwa who was a distant relative of the deceased woman was accused of the gruesome murder. Sources said that the CCTV clips have been also shared with his relatives.

The victim was the daughter of Rathwa's wife's distant cousin. Rathwa was allegedly having an extra-marital affair with the woman for quite some time and was reportedly disturbed after he was arrested in connection with her murder.

Sources said that the police station officer had been keeping an eye on the accused when he was in the lock-up. The CCTV footage of the suicide was also shown to his relatives
