GSPCA Vadodara rescued 73 different varities of parrots from city and surrounding areas

Gujarat Society for Prevention against cruelty to animals (GSPCA) rescued 73 different varities of parrot kept under captivity inside the cage. The operation run for the last one month as the team rescued the wildlife from different areas of Vadodara city and surrounding areas.

Giving details Raj Bhavsar from Gujarat SPCA said, inspite of repeated warning about not kept wildlife inside the homes people are not listening and kept them in bad conditions. For the last one month they run the operation in city as well as surrounding areas and successfully rescued 73 parrots of varities like red headed, Alexandrine parakeets and rose ring.

With the help of city and district police stations, the operation was carried out successfully and case under the Wildlife Act 1972 and Prevention of Cruelty was registered against people. GSPCA request people to understand the law and handover the animals and birds to them and become free from the law.

In one more operation the GSPCA volunteers rescued a six foot crocodile from A field on the road from Dumad to Virod village near Vadodara on Thursday night. The crocdile was safely rescued and handover to the forest department.
