Vadodara GSPCA and social forestry department team carefully rescued a crocodile from a residential area near Bil village. The team cage near the pit to catch the another one as told by the locals.
Few days ago, Gujarat SPCA chief Raj Bhavsar received a phone call from Mehul Modi, a resident of Wood Scap Society near Bill village, informing about presence of two crocodiles inside the pit near the gate of the society. They climbed up on the road and the residents are afraid that they might enter the society. They request to catch the crocodile as soon as possible.
Immediately Raj Bhavsar informed RFO Nidhi Dave of Social Forestry Department and their staff Nitin Patel and a team of GSPCA reached the society, examined the crocodile inside the pit and put the cage to catch the crocodile. Around 10 in the night on three and half foot crocodile trapped inside the cage and the team carefully rescued it and handover to the Forest Department.
Another cage has been kept to catch another crocodile. Residents of wood scap society breathed a sigh of relief after the crocodile was caught.
