On Friday the doctors sit on symbolic protest and silently protest against their long pending demands. They will give a memorandum to the collector on 4th December in view of their issues. The doctors demand Provident Fund, salary, promotion, implementation of 7th pay commission and benefits.

"We are demanding benefits like the government employees like PF, High salary, promotion, transport and medical allowances, NPA as per 7th Pay Commission and many others. After meeting with government representatives the issues are yet not resolved and hence we are silently protesting. On Saturday a rally will be taken out in all six districts and later go on strike if our issues are still unresolved," said Dr. Hiren Prajapati, President GMERS Faculty Association.

They are hopeful for a resolution as meetings are on with the government and protest lightly. All services inside the hospital are carried on as usual.
