Five arrested for attacking cops in Dahod

The Dahod police arrested five men for allegedly attacking cops a fortnight ago. All five are members of the gang of Bhikha Rathwa, who is a notorious bootlegger.

Rathwa and his gang had attacked a team of state monitoring cell (SMC) near Pachiyasal village in Dahod on the night of January 10 when they intercepted a vehicle ferrying liquor.

Rathwa had even opened fire in the air following which the cops fired four rounds in defence.

Rathwa and his gang fled from the spot after the incident.

Those arrested were Ramesh Rathwa, Vinod Rathwa, Mahirajsinh Jadhav, Rakesh Baria and Rohit Patel.
