A tragic accident occurred between two trucks early in the morning near Fertilizer Bridge near Vadodara. The fire brigade rescued four persons, including the truck driver, who were trapped in the cabin of the truck in the horrific accident and sent them to hospital. The condition of the truck driver was found to be serious from the hospital. The incident also disrupted traffic for some time.
As per available details, the trailer heading from Ahmedabad to Surat crashed into the truck moving in front at around 6 am. The cabin of the trailer turned into wreckage due to the imapact. The locals rushed to the spot as soon as the accident took place and tried to pull out the driver-cleaner trapped in the trailer's cabin. Firefighters rushed to the spot as soon as the fire brigade was informed and rescued the driver cleaner from the wreckage and sent to Sayaji Hospital in 108 ambulances.
Meanwhile, the incident was reported to the police, who rushed to the spot and eased the traffic jams caused by the accident. The incident led to long queues of vehicles within minutes due to the accident. While investigating police Police identified the driver as Diwallar Sheikh and the trailer was going from Ahmedabad to Surat when it met with the accident with another truck while it descended from the bridge.
Police had registered a case of accident which took place early this morning and moved the crashed trailer and truck over the side of the road, opening the way.
