The convocation parade ceremony of 72 armed Lokrakshaks was held at Police Training School on Sunday. Vadodara City Police Commissioner Dr. Shamsher Singh welcomed all and said all are ready to face the upcoming challenges. It is to be mentioned here that Police Training School Vadodara has imparted training to 66938 trainees from the year 1955 till date.
Out of these 72 trainees, three has engineering, 25 Post Graduate and 44 are having Bachelor degrees. The trainees are mainly from Ahmedabad, Rajkot city, Amreli, Anand, Kheda, Chhotaudepur, Rajkot rural, Vadodara city, Surat city, Surendranagar.
Dr. Shamsher Singh inspected the parade in an open jeep after the salute. The principal of the training school, M.S. Bhabhor administered the oath to trainees followed by platoon march past.
Dr. Shamsher Singh felicitated Kuldeep Chaudhary from Bharuch as first in Outdoor training and Vaishali Prajapati from Ahmedabad in Indoor training. Jyoti Chauhan from Vadodara declared as allrounder and Parade Commander trophy goes to Kuldeep Chaudhary.
Outdoor training consists of PT, Boxing, Yoga, unarm combat, Squad drill, platoon drill, lathi drill, rifle drill, mob drill, modern weapons training, fire control, disaster management, patrolling, Nakabandi, vehicle checking, escort duty and others. Indoor training consists of IPC, CRPC, evidence act, police manual, forensic science, criminology, human rights, constitution, police duty, law and order, detain, state minor act and central minor act.
In addition a special seminar was organised in human behavior, police welfare, domestic planning, departmental action. The aim is to make them able to fight the challenges of social life. Police commissioner Dr. Shamsher Singh welcome the new recruits and said, all are well qualified and educated and trained to face the upcoming challenges of nation security, honesty, commitment, humanity, cyber crime, drugs menace, crime against women and many more. The ceremony was attended by police officers including parents of the trainees.
