Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) has been campaigning since the beginning of the Covid pandemic to help the sections of the society affected by illness, death of family members or lack of employment. At a time, when the Indian Air Force continues to provide airlifts for oxygen and vital medical supplies, AFWWA and its Sanginis are also standing shoulder to shoulder, to help the needy families in this hour of crisis.
As part of this continuous effort, with the aim of dealing with the difficulties and providing necessary assistance to the needy families, AFWWA Jamnagar distributed 500 packets of ration and other essential items at Jamnagar 'Bombay Drug Bazar' and 'Babri Aawas' on 14 June 21, in consultation with the local administration, following all Covid-19 precautions.
AFWWA was formed on 28 October 1970 as a registered body with the objective of providing assistance to the families of the deceased, disabled, retired and serving personnel of the Indian Air Force. As part of its objective, the Association along with the volunteer wives of Air Force personnel has been regularly helping civilian brothers and sisters during natural calamities or any crisis.
