Garba enthusiasts are happy to match garba steps on stage as part of the city level competition organised by the cultural department of Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan after covid. The winner of the competition will represent the city in state level competition.

The covid pandemic put brakes on everything including the famous garba festival during Navratri. However as the cases comes down the Gujarat government allowed Sheri garba to be held with covid guidelines which brings smiles on the faces of garba players.

From Tuesday two days City level garba competition started in Vadodara involving around 18 teams to fight for the title. "Vadodara garba is famous all across the world for its traditional touch. To motivate the players, VMSS has organised the city level competition featuring around 18 teams. The winner will represent the city in the state level competition," Said Keyur Rokadia Mayor Vadodara.

The garba dancers are also happy to play on stage after a long gap due to covid 19.
