State industries minister Balvant singh Rajput on Friday said that despite its relatively smaller geographical size, Gujarat boasts of a 33% share in India’s exports and that the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) has significantly contributed to this achievement.
“Gujarat has also been a frontrunner in generating employment opportunities. Additionally, the state's contribution to the national GDP stands at an impressive 8.4%,” he added.
S J Haider, additional chief secretary, industries and mines department, said that the 10th edition of VGGS has achieved a milestone with over 1,07,000 registrations from 136 countries. TNN
