AMTS raises concern over delay in bus deliveries and missing deadlines

The Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) is facing fresh trouble with senior municipal councilors and standing committee members raising concerns about repeated delays in bus deliveries from manufacturers. 

The civic body had awarded contracts last year for the supply of 200 non-AC and 100 AC buses.

According to the agreement, 200 non-AC buses were to be delivered in phases by Oct and Nov 2023. Similarly, 100 AC buses were to be delivered in Feb and March this year.

BJP councillors and senior standing committee members demanded action, saying only 59 non-AC buses have been supplied and no AC buses have been delivered so far.
